Group spiritual direction is a process in which 5-6 people gather in a small

ENVIRONMENTAL DISCUSSION GROUP: TRANSITION TOWNS: WEDNESDAYS

7:15 – 8:30 PM
ECO Committee of
Gwynedd Meeting is offering a discussion group on The Transition Handbook:
From Oil Dependency to Local Resilience by Rob Hopkins at Gwynedd Meeting
in the library. Transition Town is a revolutionary concept to create
community resilience as we together face resource depletion, and now is
the time to prepare while creating an exciting new paradigm locally. Locate
a copy of the book and read chapters 1 and 2 if you have a chance prior
to our first meeting. The book is available through Chelsea Green
publishing, Amazon, Indie book stores, and it has been around for awhile
so you may be able to find a used copy, or obtain one from your local library. We
will plan to discuss the "Scenarios for Life Beyond the Oil Peak" on
pp. 46-47 the first night. During the course, we will use some of the 'tools
for transition.' We plan to hold a fish bowl discussion and a world cafe
event as part of the course. I hope you can join us.
Childcare provided with advance notice.
