Rhenda and Jim will be presenting jazz and pop standards, familiar to everyone and an original or two. She will be entrancing our audience with her pristine voice, channeling the spirit of singers who came before us, and some still here. Accompanying Rhenda on keyboards and cello will be jazz extraordinaire Jim Holton making his third appearance at the coffeehouse. Don't miss this!

For more than forty years, Bill has traveled back and forth across North America, singing his songs and delighting audiences. Singing mostly his own songs, he has become one of the most popular and durable singers on the folk music scene (Two that you all probably know are All God's Critters (a Place in the Choir) and The Roseville Fair).

Chuck van Zyl Chuck van Zyl is known to many as host of Star's End (WXPN's renowned radio program of Spacemusic dreamscapes) and as coordinator of The Gatherings (Philadelphia's premier concert series of innovative music), but he also realizes his
own substantial works of contemporary Electronic Music. Spontaneously composed in the moment, Chuck's performances evoke the sense of discovery first heard in works by Jean-Michel Jarre, Kraftwerk, Vangelis and Tangerine Dream. Through deep space gateways and brilliant sequencer breakdowns, from the heights of improvisation, on down to its quietly consuming dark fields, Chuck's  synthesizer tradition invites wonder. A musician of the imagination, Chuck van Zyl manipulates timbre (the very character of sound) into musical expressions, culminating in an epic intimacy with those gathered. Offering a quiet sense of mystery, his performance and light show will be uniquely designed for the Gwynedd Friends Coffeehouse audience.
